Adejah's Final Blog
This year in gym was tough for me, but i admit that i did learn alot of things. At the begging of the yaer i was so excited to be with my peers and socilize. It wasnt until October that i started to learn things like pacing, and keep a good time. Before grade 8 i thought gym was about fun and games, but i learned it is for me to be able to learn how to take care of my body and keep it fit. After a couple of months i started eating good, like more fruits and veggies, but as soon as i got into my car accident it all stoped. I tried my best to be able to do gym again after that and to be able to stay fit. It was hard i can tell you that, and i didnt accomplish it, in around March/April when i started to do gym again i wished that i didnt stop doing gym because i payed for it then.I think that overall this year i deserve a B, In gym ( most ) of the days i try my best, when i have to sit out i encourage my peers do get through it because eventually later they will come back and thank you. Also i think i deserve a B because i did learn the things we were supost to learn in acting learning8, i learned how to pace myself, i leared that there isnt soclizing in gym, i also learned you can get get really hurt in gym. I know my abbsensesdoesnt help me but the days that i was there and i havent missed i did work hard.Yes gym might not be my favorite class but i know why now we need it!

Adeejah I think you have captured your struggles this year pretty well. You have been on a bit of a roller coaster this year. There have been days you were smiling and giving it your all... but also many days where you were not mentally prepared to grow yourself. I encourage you to continue to consider what you can give to a PE class and remove the teacher from the equation completely. If you find that internal motivation you will be much more balanced and enjoy class more than than this year. PE is about fun and games, it is about being with your friends, but it is also about learning, participating, and overcoming mental/physical barriers. As for your mark, I would say a B student is consistent, you weren't... so while I will put a B on your report card I think you need to spend some time considering work put in and what results you expect as well. You have such a great smile and so much potential to be a leader... decide if you want that.
